Synopsis

 

Restorative implant dentistry is undergoing significant change. With the development of new technologies spearheaded by innovation in the dental implant industry, we are now able to give expanded restorative options to our patients. This comprehensive program will integrate these techniques and innovative technologies into a practical approach for the restorative implant dentist and surgeon. â€‹â€‹

After attending this program, the dentist will gain a better understanding of restorative implant treatment planning in everyday clinical situations. A special focus will be on the digital workflow as it applies to the diagnostic, planning, surgical, and restorative aspects of treatment.

Course Objectives

 

  • Plan comprehensive implant treatments for single and multiple-span restorations using the Straumann implant ecosystem

  • Review digital restorative impression techniques and the selection of appropriate restorative components. 

  • Execute the complete workflow from start to finish; including diagnosis, treatment planning with surgical guides, and the digital impressions using intraoral scanners.

  • Implement immediate provisionalization techniques with temporary crowns and custom anatomical healing abutments, including the new AHA stock anatomical healing abutment. 

  • Evaluate the properties and clinical applications of dental materials such as Zirconia, Lithium Disilicate, PEEK, and others. 

  • Solve clinical challenges and troubleshoot restorative implant cases effectively.

  • Select appropriate implant designs based on specific clinical scenarios and patient presentations. 

  • Apply new restorative techniques and integrate clinical pearls to enhance restoration outcomes.

Speaker: Ira Langstein, DDS

Dr. Langstein specializes in cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology.  Dr. Langstein has been awarded Diplomate Status in the International Congress of Oral Implantology, a prestigious award recognized by his peers worldwide. He lectures nationally and internationally on dental implants to groups of dentists and staff. Dr. Langstein graduated from Cornell University and New York University College of Dentistry. He earned his General Practice residency at the Manhattan Veterans; administration Medical Center. Dr. Langstein accepts and welcomes new patients.
